Zach Cohen was an amazing young man that unjustly left our world on February 26, 2017 at the young age of 21. Zach is so dearly missed by family and friends and remembered each and every day. The group of friends that Zach was a part of since a very young age have remained close to this day. Jonathan Arsht, Roy Avriam, Michael Coopersmith, Nick Chrysilou, Blake Davila, Noam Harari, Matt Iazzetta, Jake Komet, Jacob Ojalvo, Nick Principe, Zack Reilly, Ryan Snyder, Austin Spilman, and Jason Stark say it best with this collection of their thoughts and words...............
Zach Cohen was one of a kind, and that is just how he liked it. He lived the way he wanted, said how he felt, never held back, and we could all learn something very valuable from him. In the words of his closest friends… “Zach wore his heart on his sleeve and was always unbelievably genuine. He had the ability to make you take a step back and realize what you just said or did. Zach was never afraid of sharing his beliefs or views about anything. He was so beyond his years and was always known for his authentic generosity, shrewdness, and attention to detail. He helped keep each of us down to earth and level headed by always being so straightforward. Zach was so in tune with himself and what he believed to be true, he never held back. He impacted our lives in so many ways, and will forever be in our our hearts. His passion for music and sports was incomparable and will always be remembered. Zach taught each of us to fight for what we believed in and ensure that we live our lives with purpose, while never take anything for granted. Through his passion, individuality, and unwavering determination to never give up any fight, Zach’s memory will forever live on through each and every one of us. This is why it is our lifelong goal to ensure that the impact he made on each of us, as well as everyone else he touched, will never be forgotten.”
We miss you so much Zach and we are going to do something to fight this terrible disease so that your legacy lives on in a positive light!
It is our mission to make sure that we celebrate the life of Zach and do something positive in his remembrance. All proceeds from this fund raising effort will benefit The Cohen family's foundation, The Zach Cohen Foundation for Sarcoma Research and Treatment as well as The Sarcoma Foundation of America. This tournament is our inaugural effort to raise money to help those in need. The monies raised from this event will be directed towards different Sarcoma Research and treatment efforts just the way Zach would have wanted it.
